We created this collage before our project, for genral ideas. We used photoshop to edit and make this collage and by using filter we changed the look of the images to create a cartoon effect to the realistic images. We will now be using this collage in our project as a background for our researched facts.

I researched into advertisements for male skincare i focused

on the nivea skincare range and found these interesting adverts:

This advertisement has the male in the mirror using a beer bottle

opener to open the bottle of lotion. This way of advertising is really

clever as they have associated the lotion to a masculine

object maybe to make the lotion seem less feminine.

It uses humour to communicate how insecurities of a male

can be affected by a female. The female chooses the guy who

has moisturised....this makes the other guys want to moisturise

to get a girl. Do men feel moisturising is too feminine?

is it seen as a sign of weekeness? .

The female chooses the guy who isnt afriad to show he moisturises.

What are men really insecure about?

To find out research on male insecurities I asked friends family members, I also posted questions on facebook and got alot of feedback. I found that the main insecurities were:
